Here's a simplified model of residential light bills:

A cycle lasts from the beginning of a month to the end of a month. For example, if it is November 2025 now, the price of a unit will reset on December 2025.

There is a monthly fee of
2.132.13
So, there's a spending of GHS2.13 to get 0 units.

A maximum of 30 units could be bought for a price of GHS0.84460845 each before you will have to upgrade your account.

So, when 30 units are bought at a price of GHS0.84460845 each,
2.13+(30×0.84460845)=27.46825352.13 \\ +\,(30 \times 0.84460845)\\ = 27.4682535
So, there's a spending of GHS27.4682535 to get 30 units.

To buy more units, you will have to upgrade your account from Lifeline to Other for the month, for a fee of GHS40.6695555.
2.13+(30×0.84460845)+40.6695555=68.1378092.13 \\ +\,(30 \times 0.84460845) \\ +\,40.6695555\\ = 68.137809
So, there's a spending of GHS68.137809 to get 30 units, if an account with 30 units were to somehow be upgraded anyway.

After buying 30 units, a maximum of 270 units can be bought for GHS1.9135641 each. For example, if 300 units are bought,
2.13+(30×0.84460845)+40.6695555+(270×1.9135641)=584.8001162.13 \\ +\,(30 \times 0.84460845) \\ +\,40.6695555 \\ +\,(270 \times 1.9135641)\\ = 584.800116
So, there's a spending of GHS584.800116 to get 300 units.

If you need any more units, each unit will be sold at a price of GHS2.52846195 each.
